Royal Hunt X 6 / 10

There are a few bands that should have called it quits a few albums ago, Royal Hunt can be added to that list!! Albums like Paradox are a long distant memory and while I did like Jon West's vocals i think Mark Boals is just not Royal Hunt. There are some good tracks for sure that will please fans old and new, also with the Royal Hunt signature sound but it's all getting stale, after 20 years i would like a once mighty band to pull the curtain on great career that have also been an influence to many.

I am sure Royal Hunt fans worldwide will add this to the already big collection but X will not be added to my Cd collection. For me I will just remember the great years of DC Cooper and Jon West and be happy that I was able to be around when they were in their pomp, but as for now I think i'm just plain Royal Hunted out.

MARK BASTON
