Just when you thought instrumental prog couldn't get any better, well it can and Parallaxe is that band.Their demo was amazing but the new album Soundtrack is probably the greatest intrumental album I have ever heard!! This is right up there with Koyaanisqatsy's From the yearning to burst the perpetual circle.

They play with so much freedom and incredible feeling aswell, the song Sacre is a masterpiece with the Vai like guitarwork amazing from Alex Andrini, this song also has a movie score feel to it as does the whole album really. The drumming bt Bruno Felloneau is awesome and Bea Armani on bass and Mattieu Huck on keys are a perfect combination.

I remember listening to Vinnie Moore's Minds Eye years ago and saying this is the music i love!! Parallaxe have taken it a step further. This band should be selling millions as far as i'm concerned but this style of music is not to everyones taste. If you love incredible musicianship as i do then you will love this band. This is art at its finest and i am blessed to live in an era where music like this exists. All i can say is this is a must for all prog fans just like Beethoven is to classical music lovers. Let yourself be engrossed in musical paradise, this is as good as it gets!!

IBuy this album: http://www.myspace.com/parallaxe
