Orphaned Lands 4th studio album in a 16 year period and 6 years after the Breathtaking Mabool. i admit to have been a little sceptical as to whether they could put out another Masterpiece worthy of Mabool. I needn't have worried because this album is as good in every way with Orphaned Land creating all the sounds of Isreal and the middle East as only they can.

We have Steven Wilson ( Porcupine Tree ) producing the album and his polish is there for all to hear!! I think the guitar work on this album exceeds that on Mabool with some of the most Beautiful solos you are likely to hear and with Arabian Violins played by the Arab Orchestra Of Nazareth, It just adds to the Whole Arabic feel. The Vocals are again another highlight, from Growls to clean, kobi Farhi is one extremely expressive singer.

I cannot say anything bad about this release other than to say Orphaned Land are taking Progressive Metal in its truest form to another level. I am also looking forward to some other amazing releases in 2010 but can't see how this could possibly be beaten for album of the year and it's only February. I think it's time all Music fans (not just Progressive) get their dose of Orphaned Land and realise that this type of music really enriches the mind and soul. ENJOY!!
