With this release, Cloudscapes 3rd studio album Global drama, the Swedish prog - power outfit have matured with their songwriting and overall sound. This album definately has a more heavier progressive feel to it.
Mike Anderrsons vocals are extremely powerfull and emotive. He reminds me abit of Andreas Novak ( Minds Eye ) and Oliver Hartmann ( At Vance and Empty Tremor ) The musicianship is of the highest standard with great guitarwork and also wicked drumming by Roger Landin.
The opening track has a Symphony x feel to it, and the song Cloak and Dagger is extremely middle eastern and is a great track ( It also has a film clip.) The whole album is a very uplifting listening experience from start to finish. This album has really made Cloudscape one of the premier acts in todays prog metal scene, I really look forward to future albums, also another great album cover by the best in the business!!
