I remember listening to Adagio years ago and i dont remember them being this heavy and dark, the growling and black elements are interesting, they also have a new vocalist in Christian Palin and i think he does a good job. The songs remind me of a darker Symphony X.

Stephan Forte is a wizard on the guitar, think a cross between Romeo, Malmsteem. The production is crisp aswell.I think any fans of Symphony X will take to this album like a duck to water as a huge similarity exists. I think this is a solid release without being remarkable, It has some very hooky moment for sure and the musicianship is top notch, i just find it a bit samey!! That said this is  still an impressive release and one that will go nicely into your prog collection.
